Things That Make Me Smile

Reading by flashlight, a time honored tradition in this house :)

And what's keeping her up when she should really be asleep?
The Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo.

Obviously, Momma needs to read this book, too!

Psst! Today's the Bernard Pivot blogfest you signed up for. Hope you're still playing along. I'll check in later, just in case :))

Have a fab day!

My daughter does this too but just boldly leaves the light on until I catch her when I go to bed!

I was never able to do this. Claustrophobic.

My 11 yo reads late, but he's not sneaky about it.

Laura, that's what I did too, and my mom would always yell down the hall at me as soon as she saw the light under the door crack. If I was tired, I would turn out the light go to sleep; if I wasn't, I would turn off the light for about 15 min., wait till SHE fell asleep, and then turn it back on and read some more.

That looks like a great thing to do. I haven't read with a flashlight in forever.

It's nice that traditions continue ... or is that, "reinvented".

Cute! Always though those clip-on book lights were the coolest things ever for this very reason! However, I much prefer being curled into the corner of a couch for my reading (even if it's late night reading). :)
