I've been kind of stuck on this new novel I started writing. I'm fifty pages in and more than a little overwhelmed by the possibilities. I made an outline but I'm not sure if I still want to go in that direction. Indecision leads to inaction and...I haven't been writing.
So, when I saw that Weronika was organizing a page a day challenge, I signed up. It's only for a month. I plan to use the time to flesh out backstory, just free write stuff that will probably never end up in the book, as well as to write an actual page of story. Every day.
Need a kick in the pants to get back on track with your writing? This might be the ticket. Find out more about the challenge and the people participating on Weronika's blog.

I saw that Christine was doing this too! I'm so tempted...
Good luck, Sherrie!
Thanks, Jackee! I hope it helps me get unstuck :)
Hmm. Good stuff, and I'm already trying to do that anyway. I'm in. Here's to getting unstuck!
Oh! That sounds so awesome! Plus I hate getting stuck! Thanks Sherrie! =0
Every tool and tip we get helps. I don't seem to need a challenge at the moment. I'm in an upswing, charging ahead. We'll see how long it lasts. ;)
I would so love to participate. if it were only next month.
That sounds like a great challenge. I'll have to check her blog out. Thanks, and good luck with yours, Sherrie!
I always shoot for a page a day at least, if not 1,000 words. It's not a lot, and it can really get you jump-started. Good luck! :)
Great Idea!!! Just what I need to do to get back into a good habit of daily writing. (Other than blog comments.)
This is a fantastic challenge!!! I love it. I think specific goals really help when you're stuck in a rut. I drive Laura crazy with them.
It is a small world; I just found you on twitter and I am participating in the page a day challenge! Good Luck!
At least you're fifty pages in...I'm only 20 pages in and it is draggin butt.
Maybe I'll sign up.....
Shelley
Thanks for dropping by Sherrie.
This is a great idea.
My day job is stressful and uber-busy at the moment but I can make time for a page a day.
You can do it! Sometimes I have to force myself w/ a page-a-day goal. It really does help. When I'm writing, I try to do two pages and one mile (walking) a day. I take Sat and Sun off. It's a formula that has been good for me.
good luck!
Sounds like a cool challenge. Good for you, diving into it. I bet fleshing out backstory will help a lot. I sometimes get stuck because I don't know a character well enough. The same has happened when my outline has become unclear.
Good luck! You'll get it all figured out!
I saw a number of people are doing this. I'm in the middle of edits, so I'm going to skip on the activity. Great idea, though.
I saw this but not quite ready yet to begin my next one! I am somewhere in between. Good luck!!
