I Need More Time

Today is one of those days where I'm feeling overwhelmed.

I need to get pages written for my class, need to edit stories for my critique group, need to do some laundry, need to pay the bills...and I need to remember to take lunch to my kids at school because I forgot to make it for them this morning!

Wouldn't you love to be able to stop time and finish everything that needs to be done?

Time hasn't stopped for any troubles, heartaches, or any other malfunctions of this world, so please don't tell me it will stop for you. -- C.S. Lewis

Oh, well. It was a nice thought. Friday I'll have up a book review and giveaway, but today I'm playing catch up.

I know you understand...

My writing time goes by way too fast! Hope you catch up!

I know those days--and you know, it was probably the forgetting the lunch that was the "too much." It would have been for me! Hang in there--take it piece by piece, and don't be too hard on yourself! You're a wonderful mom, writer, and critique partner. :)

Good luck with your catch-up efforts. I need to try a little of that myself soon. :-)

Darn you, C.S. Lewis! LOL Leave it to a real writer to slap me in the face with the truth of the world. *sigh* I'm in the same overwhelming boat as you are right now. Hang in there!

Oh my gosh, my day is the same! I've got so much to do. But where am I? Hanging out in the blogosphere... :(

There's no way I'd want to stop time. It would only mean that I would have to do everything. I'd go insane.

And how!?!
Actually, the how I would like is for it to just be done. Like, there ya go...all done...a time lottery! :)

Instead I keep on with the mantra of, it will get done, it will get done, it will get done.

There's never enough time to get everything done, or so it seems. I need to go to Vegas. It's hard to find a clock in a casino because they don't want you to know what time it is. Maybe we should do that at home and just not worry about it. ;)

Good luck getting caught up!

I took a nap today...I should have been writing...but I wasn't. Tomorrow I'll be more productive. :)

Of course I understand! Don't know how you do it all. Sometimes, I notice your posts go up in the wee hours (like 4:14 am or something), and I think, "Does this woman sleep?" Hope you get caught up!

I can definitely relate to you here. I'm still thinking being a vampire isn't a bad way to go. Okay, the part about the blood doesn't exactly appeal to me, but I guess I'll change my mind once I'm converted. ;)

Just think of all those extra hours you'll gain when you don't have to sleep!

I soooo want a magic stopwatch. Wouldn't it be cool to run around doing all the chores and then restart it to be ahead of the game?

Laura: Mine too!

Becky: Yeah, forgetting the lunches made me realize how out of control I was! It felt good to just clear the day and get some stuff off my to do list.

Kelly H-Y: =D

Shannon: Thanks!

Kristi: Ah, yes, the truth of the world. Hope you can dig out too!

Glam: I've been there and I sympathize :)

Lois: But then you'd have time to do it AND take a nap!

Jolie: A time lottery -- I like that!

Rena: Even if I don't see the clock, the stuff still needs to get done. I guess that's part of the appeal of vacation, in Vegas or anywhere else: nothing has to get done!

Sharon: Naps are good. And sometimes you just need one!

Kelly: Thank you!

Lori: I've been having a hard time sleeping past 4, but sometimes I just schedule the posts :)

Stina: If I could get by with no sleep at all, believe me, I could accomplish so much more!

Tricia: Yes, yes, YES!!!

One day, eh? Seems to be the story of my life right now. I so understand.

Looking forward to visiting my mom soon - where there is no internet connection, I can only get cell phone calls by one corner of the pool, and the cows next door moo every morning. I need the downtime.
